As the school year is getting closer to the end we have some changes on our staff to share.
Melanie Hahn will be returning to Avon Maitland School Board and our new Vice Principal will be Jan Hansen. Jan is currently on leave from the board and has been a vice principal in many schools over that past few years. It is with sadness that we wish Melanie all the best as she returns to work in the school board where she has spent her career up until this year!
We also have several staff pursuing new teaching positions in other schools for a variety of reasons. Stephanie Epp will be teaching at Sheppard PS, Allison Moore will be teaching at Courtland PS, Alisa Thibeau will be teaching at Janet Metcalf PS and Erica Kelsick will be teaching at Groh PS. We wish them well as they pursue new teaching experiences! They will all be missed.
The school board’s hiring process is far from complete and so at this point we only have one new teacher and one new Educational Assistant to welcome to Baden. We will be welcoming Leah Jones to Baden and she is coming to us from teaching at Millen Woods PS. As well we welcome Mandy Spaetzel to our amazing team of Educational Assistants.
Our staff in Long Term Occasional teaching positions, Mr. Dempster, Mr. Coffey, Miss Johnson and Mrs. Shantz will be completing their teaching in these term positions on June 29th. We have loved working with them! They may or may not be able to return to Baden next year but we won’t have this information until the staffing process is completed in August.
